Carl G. Bauer-Schlichtegroll joins Eos as a General Partner

Eos Venture Partners is delighted to announce that Carl Bauer-Schlichtegroll will be joining Eos as a General Partner.

Carl was previously a member of Eos’ investment committee before joining full time this month as a General Partner. Prior to joining Eos, Carl specialised in the financial services sector with some of the world’s leading investment banks for over 25 years.

He was previously head of the European Financial Institutions Group at Greenhill & Co, Vice Chairman and co-head of the Financial Institutions Group at Credit Suisse Group, head of the Insurance advisory investment banking group and subsequently co- head of the Financial Institutions Group at JP Morgan, and a Managing Director in the Financial Institutions Group at Goldman Sachs. His experience covers a broad range of M&A as well as equity and debt capital markets situations across a wide spectrum of financial services sub-sectors with a particular focus on insurance.

On the InsurTech/Fintech front, Carl has advised clients in the UK, Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria, France, Spain and Scandinavia including as a member of associated advisory boards. He is also an active venture capital investor and has made a number of investments, including in the InsurTech space.

During his career, Carl was based in London and New York and was active for clients globally, mostly in Western & Eastern Europe, North America and Asia.

His experience covers a broad range of M&A as well as equity and debt capital markets situations across a wide spectrum of financial services sub-sectors with a particular focus on insurance (life, health, P&C, reinsurance).

On the InsurTech/Fintech front, Carl has advised clients in the UK, Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria, France and Scandinavia including as a member of associated advisory boards. He is also an active venture capital investor and has made a number of investments, including in the InsurTech space.

Carl completed his studies in business administration at the University of Geneva, Switzerland and the University of Tokyo, Japan. He is a native German and French speaker with an intermediate level in Japanese.
